Established in 1883, The University of Auckland is New Zealand’s top-ranked university for research and academic reputation. It is an international centre of learning and academic excellence, and is situated in the heart of Auckland. The University provides an exciting and stimulating environment for more than 40,000 students.

The University of Auckland is a member of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (which includes the University of California), and the Worldwide Universities Network. Membership of these groups is by invitation only and is limited to research-led institutions of international reputation across a broad range of disciplines.

Taylors & The University of Auckland Partnership

The University of Auckland welcomes international students and has accredited the Auckland Foundation Year programme as a pathway to the University. Taylors students who attain the grades specified for admission to the particular degree programme are guaranteed entry to The University of Auckland.

Visits to The University of Auckland

As a Taylors student you will be able to visit The University of Auckland campus for a special Taylors day of mock lectures, tours and talks. This will give you a great insight into the degrees and subjects on offer and prepare you for life at university.  

University of Auckland counselling at Taylors

University of Auckland staff members regularly visit Taylors campus to introduce university programmes to Taylors students. They also offer one-on-one appointments if you need help or advice.

Help with University applications

Taylors students apply for The University of Auckland online as a group at the University campus. University and Taylors staff are on-hand to guide you through the whole application form.
